Shrewsbury Town Football Club selects WPG Ltd as the official printing company for their football programme.

The football club have been using two companies however, Chief Executive at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Brian Caldwell, was eager to bring the programme home, and form a strong relationship with a local business.

WPG Group have previously worked with Shrewsbury Town Football Club with great success so are pleased to have been given the opportunity to work alongside the football team and their chosen design agency, Reech Media, on their new programmes.

Each programme will be tailored to each league, cup and friendly game and will be approximately 80 pages long, featuring fixtures and results, player interviews, team sheets, information about the community, managers notes alongside an assortment of other articles.

WPG recently invested in some new printing technology, to meet higher demands of print, such as an LED press machine which instantly dries materials as they are being printed. This provides a quick turnaround and means projects can be delivered with 24 hours of artwork.

Managing Director at WPG, Paul Jones, said: “I’m very excited that we once again have the opportunity to work with such a brilliant group of people. We have recently invested in a new LED press machine which offers instant drying meaning that the programmes can be printed to a high quality and with a quick turnover.”

Chief Executive Officer for Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Brian Caldwell also commented: “We worked with WPG years ago on our programmes back then. They did an incredible job and I look forward to working with them over the next two years on our new programmes. For the past few years we’ve been using companies down south to work on our design and printing, and we were keen to bring the production of our programmes to Shropshire.”
